Pant styles we love this season

Add at least one of these new pant trends to your closet this season

At Ginger Laurier, we love making statements, but we also value versatility. We try to bring in pieces that can be paired with staples already in your closet.

One way to embrace a new style while complementing your current wardrobe is with pant detailing we’re swooning over this season! Here’s our favourites:

Pearls and pleats

Made in the eighties, and still a favourite of ours. There’s a reason why this German fashion label is still a staple in women’s closets worldwide. CAMBIO elegantly combines comfort and style in each of their trousers. They create sophisticated, on-trend women’s pants and denim from quality materials.

Here’s two pairs of black CAMBIO pants both detailed so differently! The first is an ankle length comfortable dress pant with ribbon and pearl detailing around the hem. We think it looks fresh for spring—or any season, really!

The second is a 3/4 length black pant with a pleated hem. It’s a cute and modern twist on a classic dress pant, but a little subtler than the pearled pair.

How to wear it: Both black pants look great with both a heel and a flat shoe.

Detailed boyfriend denim

Who doesn’t love boyfriend denim? Now—who doesn’t love boyfriend denim that’s detailed with patches, pearls, and pretty little studs? We’re the first in line to try these ones on!

Stand out wearing CAMBIO’s classic denim with added exquisite details. The pair we modelled has lovely little star-shaped patches that make these boyfriend jeans feel a little more girly. The light wash looks casual cool with a basic white tee, or unique and chic with a blouse.

How to wear it: We’re not sure if there’s any way you can’t wear these jeans. Sneakers for the girl on the go, or heels for an evening among friends.

Frayed white

Mavi white denim.jpg

It’s time to upgrade your favourite white denim with a little bit of fraying. This white denim by Mavi is a straight cut with a cropped leg and raw fringed bottom.

If there’s one thing Mavi knows, it’s definitely denim. Other than their to-die-for designs, we love that Mavi has strong values when it comes to social responsibility. They often give back to their community while creating their premium denim!

How to wear it: Dress up the little bit of fringe with a pair of heels or dress down for a day of errands in a cute runner. We’ve paired ours with a pink Softinos shoe.

Casual side stripes

Athleisure is in, and it doesn’t seem like it’s going anywhere. Embrace the active casual look—without donning yoga pants—with this straight cut ankle length pant by Kut from the Kloth.

We love its released raw hem and side stripe: a nod to your favourite joggers, but with a little more style. The bold whiskering creates a lived-in look, suitable for denim as comfortable as Kut from the Kloth’s.

How to wear it: This striped Kut from the Kloth denim is a versatile pant that will blend smoothly into your wardrobe.

High-low hems

Have we ever led you astray before? We didn’t think so!

Current Elliot is another favourite of ours that celebrates the timelessness of a great pair of jeans. They’ve modernized a classic light washed straight leg jean with a raw high-to-low hem. It feels casual at first glance, but looks oh-so-chic when dressed up with a heel.

Plus, we love a little light wash denim when the days get longer.

How to wear it: Pair these pants with your favourite slip-ons for an easy-going vibe. To dress them up, just add a heel! Wear them while it's still chilly outside with an ankle boot.

Fun feathers

Can you tell we love CAMBIO? They push style boundaries with every design.

This pair is probably our favourite detailed denim this season—an ostrich feathered hem on medium wash denim. Yes please! We think it’s the perfect statement piece for the sophisticated and satiated Ginger Laurier woman. These will quickly become a favourite piece in your closet.

How to wear it: Have fun with these ones!
