A New Season of Fashion
What’s new you ask? Well, we have lots of new clothing, footwear and accessories arriving weekly and we are very excited by what we see trending this Autumn and Winter.
The magenta colour of this fine merino wool cardigan has functional style and a button detail that make it a top fashion pick.
Every year the Pantone Color Institute publishes the top 10 colours and four classic neutral colours they predict will trend in the world of fashion. The colour palettes designers have embraced for this Autumn and Winter are rich tones and show a desire for versatile, timeless colour. Leatrice Eiseman, Executive Director of the Pantone Color Institute says “Colors for Autumn/Winter 2020/2021 encourage our ongoing desire for unique self-expression through creative and unusual visual statements that stand out."
There is a desire to dress more casual with bold rich colours this year. This “street style” allows for plenty of room to dress with a creative flare.
Pullovers and cardigans are on trend and perfect to wear through Autumn and Winter. We have talked extensively about knits in previous blogs but it is always worth mentioning that buying quality knits will ensure years of wear.
Cashmere and wool are natural fibres and have great insulation properties. They keep you warm in sub-zero temperatures, but don't overheat you in warmer temperatures.
This beautiful Repeat cashmere sweater is the perfect colour for the upcoming season and the quality is superb.
Some of our knits are a high quality and the price can reflect this. We intentionally source fashion that is ethically made and build long-term, trust-based relationships with our suppliers and designers.
One colour can be an awesome look if paired with interesting textures and patterns. A monochromatic palette is a super polished look that you’ll never get tired of wearing.
The texture of this silky Oui skirt with cotton YaYa ribbed sweater is a classic monochromatic style. The Chan Luu necklace gives a refined finished look.
The current trend for skirts is a longer and more fitted midi-length that falls below the knee. This length looks super chic with ankle boots and cropped blouses and sweaters.
A longer skirt, like this Oui animal print, are fun and the styling options are endless.
Wider Crop Pant
In past years skinny, wide, boyfriend, and straight leg pant styles have been a good choice. This year we are seeing more pants with a wider pant leg and almost all pants are cropped. This is a good year to pair this style with shoes and boots that have gorgeous detailing. If you want to wear a skinny leg try to update the pant with a sweater or blouse in a stylish new colour.
Put the focus on footwear when wearing a crop pant. The Mjus leather boot with buckle detail have a cool vibe.
We hope if you celebrate Autumn with an updated style you also keep an eye out for timeless classics you will wear year after year. We invite you to bring in an article of clothing you are looking to restyle. We’re here and always happy to share our fashion expertise.
