The Sudoku Travel Method: Pack Better, Travel Lighter

Do you have plans to travel in the near future? Whether you plan to check a bag or travel with carry-on bags, you need a strategy. The goal is to pack versatile clothing that fits the weather at your destination and suits the activities you plan to do.  For example, if you are going on a 10-day trip to Europe to sightsee and dine at local restaurants, you might want casual outfits that can be dressed up a little in the evenings.

If you’re looking for inspiration on what to wear and pack, we have some ideas. Have you ever heard of the Sudoku Packing Method? This method is a capsule wardrobe strategy for creating versatile, mix-and-match travel outfits.

Imagine a 3 x 3 grid using only 9 core clothing items: 3 tops, 3 bottoms, and 3 layers.

1. First, select 3 tops, 3 bottoms, and 3 layering pieces such as cardigans, sweaters, vests, and jackets.

2. Place your clothing on a flat surface as shown above on the grid.

3. Each horizontal or vertical column will create an outfit.

A Peruzzi dress is wrinkle-resistant and suitable for both daytime and evening outings. This dress has a front zipper and pockets.
