Transitioning Your Wardrobe to a New Season

August is here. Plenty of summer is left, but it’s time to think about autumn in the fashion world. Our summer sale is on, and fall collections of new clothing, footwear, and accessories are arriving daily. There is no rush to pack away your summer wardrobe, but we think it’s a great time to start thinking about how to transition your wardrobe from summer to autumn.

A knitted cardigan is an easy piece to wear.

We get excited at the beginning of a new season. A new season allows us to incorporate heavier layers with the summer lightweight fabrics. You can also wear boots and shoes more often than sandals on cooler days. Seasonal changes are an excellent time to look at your lifestyle and add fresh fashion pieces to your wardrobe.

Chances are, if you’re a discriminating shopper, you want to know what you’re buying. Clothing labels are a great way to learn more about the brand you are buying. These labels provide essential information about the brand, the material, and how to care for the fabric.

The Brand

Where is the clothing designed and made? The bottom line is that producing ethical and sustainable clothing will cost more money.

The Material

With hundreds of natural and synthetic fibres in the fashion industry today, the label will let you know what fabrics you’re wearing.

How to Care for Fabrics

It’s a good idea to check the care label before buying clothing and accessories. Clothing care can make a big difference to the length of time your clothes will last and look good.

We aim to assist you so you keep your wardrobe relevant each season without much effort. Here are some ways we recommend you transition your summer favourites to make them perfect to wear in the autumn.

Boots & Shoes

It’s not too early to wear boots or a stylish new pair of shoes.

T-strap shoes are on trend and will update your look this coming season.

Birkenstock clogs are unbelievably comfortable and can be paired with your favourite socks to complete your look. You can count on clogs to take you through many seasons.

There are plenty of colours choices if you’re looking for a Birkenstock clog this season.

Knits & Blazers

Slightly heavier sweaters or blazers over lightweight blouses, dresses, and skirts are perfect for cooler temperatures.

A blazer over a lightweight dress warms things up.

Colour Shifts

Try wearing fewer summer prints. You can add autumnal hues to some of your summer colours. Here is a peek at the Pantone Institute’s top 10 colours and four classic neutral colours, predicted to trend in fashion for autumn 2024.

The colours for the upcoming season are a versatile mix of saturated brights with rich nature-based tones. These colours give you lots of styling possibilities.

Leopard print has been making a strong comeback. This print is not everyone’s favourite, but we love an update on a classic.

A stylish leopard print blouse looks gorgeous. Pair with a cardigan or blazer on a colder day.

Luxurious texture and cozy faux fur jackets are always a favourite for cooler days. Plaids are also on trend.

Faux fur and plaids are very stylish this season.

Feel free to drop by to shop the summer sale and see all the new collections. We think fashion is a fun, creative way to express who you are, and we’re here to help you find some style inspiration. We look forward to seeing you soon.
